Licensed by the CT Department of Mental Retardation as Community Living Arrangements. Staff provide 24-hour supervision, along with health monitoring, psychological services, and a wide array of community recreation activities. Currently, ARC operates 13 group homes for 64 adults. Three of ARC’s homes have “respite” beds that are available when families who care for their relative with special need a break or when an emergency within the family arises. Two of ARC’s homes are also certified by the CT Department of Health as “ICF/MR” facilities and offer enhanced health and programmatic supports.
