Many of ARC’s services are provided free of charge. For other services, limited financial assistance is available to individuals or families based upon their needs and ARC’s available resources.

We provide comprehensive early intervention services funded in part through Connecticut’s state-wide Birth to Three system. ARC’s Employment Services and Residential Services for adults with special needs are funded in part by the CT Department of Mental Retardation, and the participant’s eligibility for social security, SSI, and other income. Government funding for services pays only 78% of the actual costs.

Many of ARC’s services rely solely on contributions from individuals, corporations and foundations as well as fees charged to families.

ARC is a non-profit, charitable organization and a member agency of the United Way of Greenwich. We rely on contributions to provide services when no other funds are available – to assure that each child or adult receives the support he/she needs.

Because of the slow economy and rising costs, it’s been tough this year. Unfortunately, it appears that next year will be even tougher. We know, for example, that the State of Connecticut is reducing support for children, birth to three years of age, and that will place an additional burden on ARC.

We hope you will consider a donation to ARC this year – to assist in paying for services ARC currently offers, and to help other families. We want to continue to offer the same quality and quantity of ARC has in the past.

ARC is a non-profit organization approved by the US Internal Revenue Service and contributions are tax-deductible. ARC also participates in employee matching gift programs offered by many area corporations.
