ARC staff work with employers to identify employment needs, develop job descriptions, and educate fellow employees at the job site. ARC staff also provides on-site job training, supervisor training, and the development of natural supports at the job site. Training on using public transportation, or transportation to and from the job are also a part of community employment services. Group Supported Employment offers individuals to work in community settings under the direction of a trained ARC staff member. ARC provides variety of opportunities for this sheltered employment, including: landscape crews, ARC Greenhouse, courier services and cleaning services. Currently, ARC supports 45 individuals in group supported employment.

For individuals who choose, or whose health conditions require them to work in a more sedentary job with close supervision, ARC offers Assembly Services. Contract work is solicited from area businesses to provide meaningful work to the current 9 participants in Assembly Services.

Senior Services are provided to those individuals who have decided to retire from work life. Participation in community senior center activities, outings to local parks, restaurants, museums and enjoyment of life as a senior citizen is important for people with special needs, too. For the 6 participants in ARC’s Senior Services, a full range of activities is planned each weekday.
