ARC's services are based
upon the belief that all people have similar desires for:

Self-determination

Achievement - to
be proud of one's accomplishments.

A comfortable place
to live - to be safe and live in an environment that nurtures

and expands individual
potential.

Friendship -
to
share one's life with others.

Fulfilling work activities
-
to contribute to society and one's own support.
With the assistance of the Junior League and Community
Chest of Greenwich, a group of parents of children with special needs
organized the Greenwich Association for Retarded Citizens in 1951. What
they created over 50 years ago is now known as ARC.
Our spirit of innovation and determination to provide the highest quality
services is reflected in our purpose and philosophy.
